LOS ANGELES, CA – Veterans from the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center’s  and othe VA Homeless Programs enjoyed an intellectually entertaining evening listening to the NBA’s all-time leading scorer and six-time champion talked about his career, personal life and some of the 10 books he wrote and documentaries and movies he has made as BRENTWOOD SCHOOL PRESENTED THE JOHN HUTSON MEMORIAL GUEST LECTURE SERIES FEATURING KAREEM ABDUL-JABBAR and made available 125 Free Tickets for Veterans in VA homeless Programs. Among numerous topics, Kareem talked about his career, personal life and some of the 10 books he wrote and documentaries and movies he has made and how he had survived Leukemia. http://www.kareemabduljabbar.com/

The audience was comprised of students and their parents and other relatives, faculty, and other members of the community.

Kareem gave recognition and thanks to Veterans in the audience for their service and asked them to stand for recognition and applause by the audience.

125 Free Tickets were made available to Veterans in all the Homeless Programs on the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center including the Temporary Housing Program at the CalVet Home and at VA Funded Homeless Programs ff-campus, and formerly homeless Veterans who attend Group Programs at the Campus after obtaining Permanent Housing, among other Veterans.

Among other things, Brentwood School also makes available all its recreational facilities on a weekly basis in cooperation with the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center’s Domiciliary Recreation Department.
